]]> <![CDATA[Password Reset for SmarterMail Server]]> Dear Valued Customers,

We wish to inform you that the Mail Server namely NET-W08 & NET-W13 has been identified as target for dictionary attack. Due to some clients that utilise weak password, those accounts has been compromised and lead to spam relaying. A part from that, botnet and malware that reside on the workstation / devices is also part of the root cause.

As Prevention and resolution, we have strengthen the password policy requirement to as follow:
1. Password should be at least 12 characters
2. Password should contain at least 1 number
3. Password should contain at least 1 UPPERCASE character
4. Password should contain at least 1 LOWERCASE character
5. Password must contain at least a minimum of 1 symbol. Eg. [ ! @ # $ % ' & * ( ) - +]
6. Password should not be equivalent to the email account username

Additionally, following services has been deactivated and set to null as to control the situation, we seek for client support on not to enable following feature as it will cause the Mail Server IP being blacklisted if the auto responder and email forwarding relay the incoming spam mail or response to non-exist email account that initiately come in as spam mail.

]]> <![CDATA[Implementation for Bulk SMS Message Format Sending via API]]> Pertaining to our last email send out on the 8th September 2011 on the RM0.00 pricing structure on bulk sms message (free msg). This rule will be enforce starting on 12 January 2012.
Effective Date: 12 January 2012; 00:00 (GMT +8)

Update Description:

When RM0.00 is not included in Bulk SMS messages, our system will automatically append RM0.00 in front of your message.

Implementation Details:

This will affect your total character count where RM0.00 will take additional 7 character space. For example, if your message is “Welcome” (7 characters). We will append your message to be “RM0.00 Welcome” (14 characters)
