1. I am unable to Connect to FTP Server.
>> Ensure that your firewall and antivirus software doesn't block you from accessing the FTP Server.

>> Try to telnet to the FTP server - Click on Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" -> Click Ok -> Type the command "telnet yourdomainame 21" (If you are using Windows Operating System)

>> If you get the following message means that you are being blocked by firewall or antivirus program, you may try to disable them and reconnect.

C:\>telnet yourdomainname 21
Connecting To yourdomainname...Could not open connection to the host, on port 21: Connect failed

2. I am able to connect to FTP Server but very slow.
A. Please ensure you are using ACTIVE MODE Connection, most of the software use Passive Mode Connection by Default.

B. For Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Look for Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) and make sure this option is unchecked. The access URL from Internet Explorer shall be ftp://FTPUserID@ftp.yourdomainname

C. For WS_FTP Pro, you may refer to the online tutorial at http://www.supportchain.com/es/files/WS_FTP_Pro.html

D. For AceFTP Pro, follow the steps below:
Go to Tools -> Manage Connection Class -> Right click on Default -> Properties -> Transfers -> uncheck Use property class default value -> Use incoming (PORT) connections

E. For CuteFTP Pro, follow the steps below:
Go to Tools -> Global Options -> Transfer -> Change Data Mode from Auto to PORT
or
Go to General FTP Sites -> Right click on your site -> Properties -> Type -> Change Data connection type from Use global settings to use PORT

F. For FileZilla, follow the steps below:
Go to File -> Site Manager -> Select your Site -> Click on Advanced button -> under Passive transfer mode, select Use active mode.
