Enabling Telnet Client on Windows Vista & Windows 7

You are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 and are unable to perform a telnet.
You gets an error 'telnet is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file' when you use a command prompt and try to telnet.
By default, Windows Vista or Windows 7 doesn’t install the Telnet client. Thus, you will need to enable it manually as to allow you to utilise the stated service.
You may install it by following the steps below:
STEP 1: Click Start then select Control Panel.
STEP 2: Select Programs and Features.
STEP 3: Select Turn Windows features on or off.
STEP 4: Select the Telnet Client option.
STEP 5: Click OK.
STEP 6: A dialog box will appear to confirm installation. The telnet command should now be available.
Please try performing the telnet via command prompt after you have enabled this respective service and you will receive a valid result.
